Jail, when it comes to our mind we only can imagine how the inside life of a prison. Have you ever thought about it? But there were some deadliest and worst prisons in history. Let’s find out them.

1. Diyarbakir Prison

Is a prison located in Diyarbakır, southeastern Turkey? The capacity of Diyarbakır E-type Prison is 744. However, the prison is sometimes overcrowded. The years between (1981–1984) where the prisoners in the newly built Diyarbakır Military Prison No. 5 were exposed to horrific acts of systematic torture. It is among the “ten worst prisons in the world. Between 1981 and 1984, 34 prisoners lost their lives.

2. La Sante

One of the most horrific prisons in France. In between 1999 to 2003 almost hundreds of prisoners suicides. You must be thinking how they kill themselves, they did it by rat poisons or drain cleaner. Earlier days of 2000 some investigation shows that some prisoners suffering from deadliest skin diseases because of the poison food. Also, some of the prisoners raped by the prison guards.

3. Petak Island

is a small lake island in the central Russian Vologda region. It hosts a high-security prison for formerly condemned and other dangerous inmates called Vologodskiy Pyatak or simply Pyatak. Misbehaving prisoners sent to punishment cells locked in a small, dark room with only a metal bucket and a fold-down bed for 15 days. No books allowed. In the daytime, the bed stowed and they must stand, or sit on a tiny wooden perch a few inches wide.

4. Carandiru

Carandiru Penitentiary was a prison located in São Paulo, Brazil. October 2, 1992, in Carandiru Penitentiary in São Paulo, Brazil, when military police stormed the facility following a prison riot. The massacre, which left 111 prisoners dead, considered a major human rights violation in the history of Brazil.

5. Bang Kwang Prison

It is the location of the men’s death row and the execution chamber of Thailand.

6. EL Rodeo

This prison had divided into weak and strong. Those who were strong could use disco, gym and also sell drugs.

7. Gitarama Prison

Once it  considered as the most overcrowded prison in the world. When capacity was for only 400 prisoners, it actually had 7000. Almost all prisoners stand day and night. For which 5 prisoners died daily due to the worst condition.

8. Gldani Prison

The Gldani prison scandal was a political scandal in the country of Georgia involving the recorded abuse of inmates in the Georgian prison system. Tthe images of stark physical abuse – which included the use of broomsticks and lit cigarettes – the videos displayed abused perceived as having implications related to homosexuality.
