Corn Fried Rice Recipe | Indian Food Style “Foodie”

Hello, Readers!!! You must have tried varieties of Fried rice. The most common being the Veg Fried rice. It is easy to cook and tastes really good. Some of us prefer to have it in hotels and restaurants too. So today we bring you an another new variety of fried rice, called “ Corn Fried Rice ”. It tastes as good as it sounds.

Let’s prepare it.

INGREDIENTS : (For 3-4 servings)

  • 250 gms long grained basmati rice

  • 300 gms steamed corn kernels

  • 3-4 spring onions

  • Olive Oil (You can use sunflower oil too)

  • 1 chopped medium sized yellow capsicum

  • Coriander and mint leafs

  • 2-3 finely chopped chilies

  • Crushed black pepper

  • 1 tsp soya sauce

  • Salt as required

*1 cup = 250 ml

PREPARATION :

  1. Wash rice properly and soak it for 25-30 minutes.

  2. After 30 minutes, drain the rice and boil 3 cups of water in a dish.

  3. Add a pinch of salt and ½ tsp oil to it.

  4. Now add the soaked rice to it and cook it properly.

  5. In another pan, heat oil, and fry the chopped spring onions.

  6. When the onions turn golden brown color, add the chopped capsicum, chilies, and coriander leaves.

  7. Fry it for 1-2 minutes and add the steamed corn to it.

  8. After stirring for a while add soy sauce and crushed black pepper, stir it well.

  9. In another dish add a layer of cooked rice and some fried corn vegetables over it properly with some mint leaves.

  10. Then add another layer of rice over it and the remaining fried corn vegetables.

  11. Add some salt as per taste and 1 tsp of oil over it.

  12. Now carefully mix it well properly and fry for a minute.

  13. Garnish it well with some coriander or mint leaves over it.

Your “ Corn Fried Rice ” is now ready to be served. Serve it hot with some gravy dishes or with curd raita. Do send us pictures of your self-made Corn Fried Rice. Take care Guys !
