8 Banned Video Games And The Reason For Ban

So growing up I saw the birth of the modern video game and had everything n64 video games to all modern games. Since then the video game market has become a 93 billion dollar market. Because game makers are always looking for all new and exciting games to sell the games. Have you ever thought about banned video games? actually, some of them are gone too far they are banned.

So here I’m going to share some of those banned video games. Let’s just see what are they.

1. RapeLay

RapeLay released on April 21, 2006, in Japan. And created by Japanese game developer company Illusion. The main goal of the game was to stack and engage in forced sexual encounters with their mother and two daughters. A variety of options like location and all. For the reason, this game has been banned in many countries.

2. Wolfenstein 3D

Originally released on May 5, 1992, is actually banned in Germany due to its inclusion of Nazi symbols. Including removing Hitler’s little mustache renaming the boss character.
I see this is not that quite valuable for banning this game as you are fighting with Hitler not fighting with Mahatma Gandhi. Hitler was bad as hell. But anyways German banned it.

3. Manhunt 2

Manhunt 2 was released in North America on 29 October 2007 and in the UK on 31 October 2008 for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 2.
But it is banned in several countries including south Korea, Netherlands, Malaysia and Germany for over murders. The game allows the users to kill the enemies with a variety of weapons including a horrific death like really over the top. Many countries did not actually like the idea teaching young kids how to kill someone with a plastic bag, wire or hammer.

4. Pokemon Trading Card Game

2000 April 10 banned in Saudi Arabia. Because they said the game is all about gambling. Also, they said some cards are displaying which is related to their religious. But I would like to say to Saudi Arabia it’s not a rape game or murder game to be banned.

5. Homefront

It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. The game was banned in South Korea because of its depiction of a unified Korea under Northern rule. However, it is only a game still south Korea really don’t want anything related to north Korea in their country.

6. Fallout 3

Banned Video Games

was released worldwide in October 2008 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. it is set in a post-nuclear war version of Washington DC. The game includes a significant mission where the player must decide to use a live atomic bomb which sits in a middle of a small community. There was a mini nuclear launcher named Fatman in the game which was the name blew up Nagasaki in world war II. For this reason, the original game to be banned in Japan. Only the edited version is allowed to sell. This game also banned in India due to the two-headed cow.

7. Football Manager 2005

It was developed by Sports Interactive and released on November 5, 2004, published by Sega. Football Manager 2005 was banned in China when it was found that places such as Tibet and Taiwan were included as separate countries in imported releases. China banned the game because it felt that it “threatened its content harmful to China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. seriously violates Chinese law.

8. Mass effect

originally released for the Xbox 360 video game console in 2007. Mass Effect was also banned in Singapore for a short time before it was lifted with an M18 rating. Censors in the country said that a scene with an alien and human female caressing was the main reason why the game was not allowed to be sold in video game stores.
